2015 NEWS & VIEWS: 

Those of us living locally in or near the town of Sweet Home, OR  have the honor to be "neighbors" of a new and incredibly important practice (SEE www.adaptiveseeds.com ) : 

ADAPTIVE SEEDS: Sarah Kleeger & Andrew Still are working incredible magic to bring biodiversity back with Open Pollinated and Organic Seed Saving, seeds that are adapted to our LOCAL climate & food growing area!!! 

No hybrids, patented, PVP or GMO in their seed, grown without chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides.  A beautiful new website and catalog for 2015 is currently available, with fabulous and informative (also mouth-watering) descriptions - they offer over 400 varieties.  Sarah and Andrew are the seed stewards and members of The Seed Ambassadors Project and have "grown" a network of local small growers & network/collaborators globally, as listed in their catalog.  The word is spreading and we would like to support them. 

AND, to the surprise of some folk, there is a growing contingent of practicing Permies in this area, and the opportunities for hands-on learning projects - so please note:  Permies are lurking in the area,
